Nonchalance. Life is really unexpected. One minute people might say the sweetest things to make you feel like you're standing at the top of the world, the next minute everything just fades. I ponder at that moment. Was it a sudden jolt of freedom? Or was it supposed to make me feel bad and awkward? I don't know, but I guess you were rather disappointed by how indifferent I was to the situation. Life is full of surprises and you'll never know when anyone's gonna start placing a wager on you, just to test how you'd react.
